Along the way, you will learn more about problem solving, how to use the tools and language of mathematics, and how to THINK mathematically.
Students will…
- Develop and apply rational number sense.
- Use algebraic representations to communicate and generalize patterns in mathematics.
- Use proportional relationships in percent, geometry, measurement, and probability.
- Use statistical measures to describe data.
Along the way, you will learn more about problem solving, how to use the tools and language of mathematics, and how to THINK mathematically.

Absent Work
When you are absent, please check my website or the weekly agenda board to see what you missed. Ask for any worksheets you missed while absent. Please see me if you need help getting caught up. |
HOMEWORK
My policy on homework is that it is an absolute necessity in order to well in math. It helps to reinforce the content taught in school and practice always makes better work. Students will be given homework daily Monday – Thursday. Please help your child develop a routine at home where he/she has a place to do the homework. If your child needs extra help, please have him/her come in before school starts (7:50 -8:15) to get help. Each Friday, students will have a quiz based on concepts covered that week. In order to be successful on these weekly quizzes, homework completion is essential.

Grades GRADE = points earned by students total points
Ex: If you earn 120 points for your work out of a total of 135 points

Re-teach/Redo: Each student will be provided an opportunity to retake or redo an examination or assignment for which the student received a failing grade. Assignments can be make up any time up to one week before final grades are due.
Late work: For a missing assignment, students have one week from the due date to turn it in and will receive a deduction. Any assignments turned in after the one week deadline may receive no grade higher than a 50%.
